Boat ambulances operate as an integral part of 108 Emergency Response Service. This service has 7 boat ambulances in Assam and 2 in Gujarat and in Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli Daman and Diu to respond to Medical Emergencies and referral transport serving to remote villages accessible through waterways.
